Film - MANISH
Film - MANISH
An opened package of "film" with strips extending and drifting like tentacles around the core. This anomaly's main abilities are freeze and replay. The first ability turns photographed objects into pictures, as well as weakens the humans it photographs and pulls them into a Space Anomaly. The second ability allows scenes, objects, oddities, and even characters Film - MANISH photographed to reappear as duplicates within its Space Anomaly. For more details about its characteristics, see Appendix 1. Back in the days of film photography, film was popular due to its unique textures and color tones. However, the skills involved were not something just anyone could master. From shutter speed, mixing reagents, developing and fixing, to the final post-processing touches, one's skill level was evident at every stage. When it comes to film photography, one cannot overlook the darkroom that blocks out light, protects film rolls, and facilitates developing and processing. At Film Orbit Studio was a mysterious dim room stacked with bottles and jars containing unknown reagents, reminiscent of witchcraft and alchemy. In the early days of the studio, film photography was still mainstream, and the owner attracted the first group of customers through excellent film photography skills. But digital photography soon began disrupting the market. Portable, user-friendly, and forgiving, digital cameras quickly replaced film cameras as the new standard. Pressure from increased customer traffic, progression in editing software, along with considerations of labor costs and technical challenges, Film Orbit Studio was compelled to completely shift to digital. One particular film roll, not yet an anomaly at that time, was placed in a corner of the warehouse, never to see the light of day. The darkroom was also abandoned. Days turned to months, months turned to years, but no one ever remembered the film roll. The film roll did not want to be forgotten. It did not want the light, shadow, and colors it had captured to gather dust. At some point, the film roll became Film - MANISH, which continued to fulfill its mission as a photography equipment, displaying everything it captured in the most uninhibited manner, until its eventual nullification. ...However, after nullification, the owner used film photography techniques for another set of photos, which were given to the anomaly hunter responsible for resolving the incident. Some would say the film roll's wish came true. In the end, this case highlights how civilization thrives by welcoming the future and bidding farewell to the past. Characteristics Appendix 1: Detailed Report on the Characteristics of Anomaly R-57910b This anomaly's main abilities are freeze and replay. Before encountering its main body, there are no obvious patterns for these abilities. When using freeze, a camera lens appears behind the target and lets out a countdown sound before shooting. When the countdown ends, objects within the camera's range will be frozen and become photographs. After a period of time, humans regain mobility, though they will feel sick and weak. Consecutive freezing may cause irreversible harm. It's easy to avoid being frozen: stay out of the camera's range before the countdown ends. Film - MANISH's second ability allows it to replay things previously photographed by film cameras within its influence, including those recorded by its own freeze ability. This second ability can replay scenes, often creating bizarre spaces. In some cases, these spaces appear as properly colored positives, while in others, they appear as negatives with colors inverted from reality. Sometimes, creatures frozen by this anomaly are dragged into an Anomalous Space, which also greatly increases the difficulty of locating the anomaly's main body. Within the space replayed by Film -MANISH comes with aggressive surge oddities, possibly from previously recorded images. One must be aware of such oddities when the scene suddenly changes. After approaching Film - MANISH's main body, the anomaly will protect itself by ramming, slamming, and whipping enemies with film strips, as well as use its replay ability to unleash items it captured before. At this stage, Film -MANISH will also replay previously frozen humans to assist it. However, this method has limitations: while duplicates are present, Film - MANISH's main body cannot move. After duplicates are defeated, the anomaly's main body also enters a weakened state. Film - MANISH's range of influence is limited to the photo studio. When common people encounter this anomaly, they can stay safe by refraining from provocation, and watch out for camera lenses that appear randomly, as well as leave the affected area as soon as they can.
